Haver & Boecker digitalization enhances production efficiency
Haver & Boecker's subsidiary QUAT²RO has supplied digital system solutions to KLB Kötztal Lacke + Beschichtungen GmbH, optimizing production processes.

Haver & Boecker OHG, based in Westphalia, Germany, has delivered digital system solutions to KLB Kötztal Lacke + Beschichtungen GmbH, a manufacturer of coating materials and reactive resins. These solutions aim to improve production efficiency and quality through automation and digitalization.
The systems, provided by QUAT²RO, a Haver & Boecker subsidiary, enable precise control of mixing processes and centralized monitoring, along with easy operation of all plant components. This is particularly significant for KLB Kötztal, which specializes in industrial floor coatings. The construction of the new, modernized production facility began in 2016, in collaboration with another Haver & Boecker subsidiary, Sommer Maschinen- und Anlagenbau.
QUAT²RO's batch management system, developed over 20 years, offers intelligent configuration and management for complex mixing processes, including combinations of liquids and solids. The system ensures accurate weighing of raw materials and correct mixing order, which is critical for the final product's quality, especially when handling hazardous substances.
The digital solutions promise consistent product quality, automatic weight adherence, and continuous tolerance monitoring. They also enhance the company's quality management by providing complete traceability for all processes and raw materials. The system manages an unlimited number of recipes, optimizes production and logistics by integrating business and production levels, and aims to reduce errors and save resources.
