Haynes, a construction management firm based in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, has begun a multi-level renovation of Hotel 1620, a boutique waterfront hotel in Plymouth. The renovation is scheduled to start in early November.
The project will encompass a new main lobby, reception area, work lounge, micro market, pub, and updated public restrooms. On the first floor, renovations include the indoor pool cabana, an event room, and fitness corridor areas. Work on the third and fourth floors will focus on elevator lobbies.
The hotel will remain operational throughout the construction period, necessitating careful coordination between the construction team and hotel staff. Haynes has experience managing renovations in occupied spaces, implementing phasing and security measures to maintain operations.
The design, created by architectural firm Corgan in collaboration with owner Linchris Hotel Corporation, aims to introduce a coastal New England aesthetic that complements the hotel's harbor setting. The renovations are intended to enhance the guest experience.
