HCLSoftware to acquire Robotiq.ai to bolster enterprise agent automation

HCLSoftware, the software division of HCLTech, has announced its intent to acquire Robotiq.ai, a provider of enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) platforms based in Croatia. This acquisition is expected to enhance HCL UnO Agentic capabilities by integrating enterprise-grade RPA features, enabling AI-driven workflows to automate tasks within applications where APIs are unavailable or insufficient.

Robotiq.ai's platform is currently used by major banks, insurance groups, and telecommunications operators. The platform reportedly includes ISO-certified security measures, audit logs, and flexible deployment options, positioning it as a reliable solution for complex business environments. The acquisition aims to strengthen HCLSoftware's offering for agentic AI, bridging the gap between decision-making and execution across enterprise systems.

HCLSoftware stated that businesses are moving beyond AI experimentation towards industrial-scale automation that is secure and regulated. The addition of Robotiq.ai's technology is intended to allow HCL UnO Agentic to combine orchestration with enterprise-grade execution, enabling clients to confidently deploy and scale agentic AI. The transaction is anticipated to be completed by November 2026.

Robotiq.ai's founders highlighted their platform's focus on being useful, quick to implement, and reliable in production. Becoming part of HCLSoftware is expected to provide their technology with the reach and scale necessary for broad enterprise adoption.
