Technology company HCLTech and AI firm Anthropic have announced a global strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the enterprise adoption of agent AI, with a focus on security, cybersecurity, and governance.
HCLTech will establish a dedicated Anthropic business unit and a Center of Excellence (CoE) to develop solutions and industry offerings powered by Anthropic's Claude models. This unit will also assist clients in adopting AI-native engineering practices and building organizational capabilities for secure, large-scale agent AI deployment.
HCLSoftware, HCLTech's software division, will act as an Anthropic Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner. It will integrate Claude and Claude Code capabilities into select enterprise products across areas like cybersecurity, automation, and business process applications, including HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan.
Furthermore, HCLTech will integrate Claude and Claude Code into AI Force, its agent-based software engineering platform. This integration will cover IT support, code correction, and digital employee services, incorporating policy-based controls and human oversight for high-impact changes.
The partnership seeks to move enterprises from AI experimentation to secure, scaled implementation. HCLTech CEO C Vijayakumar highlighted the company's unique position as a global systems integrator and software provider, enabling secure, large-scale deployment of agent AI for clients.
