HCLTech and Anthropic Partner on Enterprise AI Agents

Indian IT services and software company HCLTech has entered into a global premier partnership with AI firm Anthropic. The collaboration aims to develop enterprise AI agents with a focus on governance, cybersecurity, and safety.

HCLTech will establish a dedicated business unit and center of excellence for Anthropic. The company will provide secure sandbox environments for the deployment of Anthropic's Claude model. Additionally, Claude and Claude Code will be integrated into HCLTech's AI Force platform for IT support, code remediation, and digital employee services.

HCLTech's software division, HCLSoftware, an independent software vendor partner of Anthropic, will embed Claude capabilities into selected products. This includes tools like BigFix and AppScan, an AI-powered application security testing platform. HCLSoftware will also enable Actian AI Analyst.

Anthropic has previously established similar partnerships, including with Accenture, indicating that the HCLTech agreement is part of a broader strategy to expand its enterprise channel. HCLTech already offers generative AI services to enterprises, further strengthening its position in the AI solutions market.
