Indian technology firm HCLTech has stated that its initial investigation has found no evidence of breaches in its systems or client environments, following claims by a hacker group of accessing employee-related data. The company issued this clarification in a filing to stock exchanges on Monday.

According to HCLTech, the data referenced in the hacker group's claim "may be limited and dated to a few years back." The company asserted there is no evidence of a breach of its own systems or of any engagement with its clients' systems. HCLTech indicated it will continue its investigation and disclose any significant findings.

The clarification follows similar statements from other major IT service providers. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) also reported receiving threat-intelligence alerts regarding potential exposure of employee information, stating its investigation found no credible evidence of a breach and that the data involved was over four years old.

Neither HCLTech nor TCS has confirmed the scope or details of the alleged data exposure, and investigations are ongoing. The claims by the hacker groups have not been independently verified.
