HCLTech releases AI-driven synthetic research report for wealth management

Technology company HCLTech released on September 29, 2026, a new synthetic research report titled "Hidden In Pl(AI)n Sight." The study is based on surveys of 1,066 AI profiles, including decision-makers within global wealth management.

The report indicates that 84 percent of wealth management firms believe their operational models require significant rethinking to fully leverage AI's potential. While 98 percent of leadership teams are engaged in AI initiatives, only just over seven percent are actively developing agent-based AI capabilities.

The study identifies three key gaps hindering wealth management firms: ambition, implementation, and strategy. Companies focus on efficiency gains rather than building competitive advantages through exclusive customer data or measuring business growth. Srinivasan Seshadri, Chief Growth Officer at HCLTech, stated that the challenge lies in strategic choices and measuring true business value from AI.

The research combines AI's analytical capacity with deep human expertise. Jill Kouri, Global Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted how AI and human collaboration unlock new possibilities. Future industry leaders are expected to successfully integrate AI, human expertise, and ecosystem partnerships, with notable differences in maturity and transformation pace between regions like APAC, North America, and Europe.
