Healthify Merges With US-Based Berry Street to Expand Metabolic Health Platform

Healthtech startup Healthify has announced its merger with US-based nutrition care company Berry Street. The collaboration aims to create an advanced, insurance-covered AI metabolic health platform specifically for the US market.

The merged entity will be co-led by Healthify's founder and CEO Tushar Vashisht and Berry Street's founder and CEO Noah Kotlove. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed. The combined company will operate under the Healthify brand in India and other regions, while maintaining the Berry Street brand in the United States.

This strategic move integrates Healthify's AI platform, Ria, with Berry Street's metabolic health platform. This integration follows Healthify's significant funding round of $20 million approximately two years ago, which was earmarked for its expansion into the US market and enhancement of its AI capabilities. The company had previously conducted successful alpha tests in the US.

Founded in 2012, Healthify initially focused on diet, fitness, and weight tracking, later expanding into AI-driven health coaching and weight management programs, including a recent initiative around medications like Ozempic. Berry Street specializes in connecting patients with registered dietitians for virtual, insurance-covered nutrition therapy and handles administrative aspects for dietitians.
