Heilongjiang Promotes Culture and Tourism in Jixi City

Heilongjiang Province held a culture and tourism promotion conference in Jixi City on July 8. The event was a segment of the 8th Heilongjiang Provincial Tourism Industry Development Conference, aimed at showcasing the region's cultural and tourism offerings.

The event integrated the ancient Sushen culture, border landscapes, red cultural heritage, pioneers' epics, and industrial and mining heritage, along with vibrant cultural and tourism elements. A performance was presented to highlight Heilongjiang's rich cultural and tourism features.

Xu Peng, Vice President of the World Tourism Alliance, noted China's push for cross-border tourism. He pointed to Heilongjiang's commitment to high-quality development in its cultural and tourism industries, focusing on building world-class ice and snow tourism destinations and summer resorts.

Jixi, as the host city, leveraged its status as China's graphite capital and an ecological tourism destination. The city has developed a comprehensive tourism map and enhanced digital services to improve the visitor experience. The province has also launched a summer tourism campaign featuring ten thematic routes.
