Heilongjiang Province hosted a culture and tourism promotion conference in Jixi City on July 8, as part of the province's 8th tourism industry development conference. The event aimed to highlight the region's attractions.
The promotion highlighted the Sushen culture, an ancient fishing and hunting culture of Northeast China, alongside border landscapes, revolutionary heritage, and industrial history. Performances were staged to showcase the area's cultural and tourism richness.
"China is making unprecedented efforts to develop cross-border tourism," stated Xu Peng, Vice Chairman of the World Tourism Alliance. He also noted Heilongjiang's commitment to high-quality tourism development, including winter resorts and summer destinations.
Jixi, the host city, positioned itself as "China's capital of graphite and a city of ecotourism." The city has developed a tourism map, enhanced visitor experiences with digital technology, and focused on consumer-friendly measures to attract tourists.
The conference included various activities, such as a promotion meeting for travel agencies, signing ceremonies for investment projects, and field trips. The events brought together industry professionals to discuss modernization and explore new opportunities in the culture and tourism sector.
