Heise Gruppe to Host Workshop on IT Security According to ISO 27001
Heise Gruppe is organizing a two-day workshop focused on Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) compliant with ISO 27001. The event will also address requirements from the NIS2 directive.

Heise Gruppe is organizing an interactive iX workshop aimed at providing IT professionals and managers with a thorough understanding of implementing and managing Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) according to the ISO 27001 standard. The workshop, held as an online event, will also cover the requirements of the European Union's NIS2 directive and its implementation law (NIS2UmsuCG).
The workshop seeks to offer practical approaches for effectively implementing ISO 27001 requirements within companies. Participants will gain insights into fundamental ISMS concepts and how to apply them structurally in practice. Emphasis will be placed on the commonalities and differences between ISO 27001 and NIS2, and how these requirements can be integrated into the ISMS planning phase.
The two-day program combines theoretical instruction with practical group exercises and discussions. Participants will explore the key steps of ISMS implementation, typical project phases, and identify common challenges and pitfalls. The focus will be on project planning, structuring, and execution, encouraging participants to directly apply learnings to their own organizations.
Led by Ann-Kathrin Rechel and Viktor Rechel, senior cybersecurity consultants at secuvera GmbH with extensive experience in ISMS implementation and development, the workshop will share practical insights and demonstrate how ISMS structures can be established efficiently, transparently, and in compliance with standards.
The workshop is targeted at information security officers, IT staff, and managers involved in implementing or enhancing an ISO 27001-compliant ISMS, who must also consider regulatory requirements like NIS2. Further details are anticipated in February 2025, with the workshop scheduled for July and October 2026.
