Helene Fischer Discusses Difficult Comeback as a Mother

Schlager artist Helene Fischer has returned to the stage for a 2026 stadium tour. However, the artist has openly discussed the challenges motherhood brings to her return to performing.

Fischer has publicly shared her difficulty in resuming her career after becoming a mother for the second time. "If I'm being completely honest, I'm struggling enormously to get into it this time. I've just become a mother for the second time and my time is so limited," she stated on NDR Talk Show in May 2026. She expressed concerns about whether her body and voice would withstand the demands, hoping they would hold up.

Balancing family life with touring is a continuous challenge for Fischer. Previously, she found it difficult to have to drive straight home after each performance. Her current strategy is to keep her family with her on tour to avoid long separations and to better integrate family life with the touring schedule.

Despite the personal difficulties, Fischer also expresses her enthusiasm for returning to the stage. She views it as regaining another role, where she can be in her element. "I'm also looking forward to that other role, the person who is finally on stage again, in my element," she said.

Fischer's stadium tour began in June 2026 and concluded in July 2026. Prior to the tour's start, in May 2026, she released her new single "Heute Nacht," which she described as a first taste of an album planned for release in 2026.
