Arrowhead Game Studios, the developer behind the popular game Helldivers 2, has announced the implementation of new anti-cheat measures. The studio aims to address a growing problem of players obtaining in-game advantages through unfair means, particularly by rapidly accumulating the premium currency, Super Credits.

The studio stated that a significant number of cheaters have been severely undermining the experience for legitimate players by amassing these Super Credits at an unreasonable pace. In response, Arrowhead will now closely monitor accounts that acquire the currency unusually quickly. Once anomalies are detected, the development team will promptly take action, including account restrictions.

Arrowhead has assured players that those who engage with the game legitimately will not be affected. This includes players who spend considerable time exploring maps, collecting resources, or playing for extended periods over weekends. The stated goal of these restrictions is to catch cheaters without slowing down the progression of honest players.

Looking ahead, other in-game reward currencies within Helldivers 2, such as Medals, Samples, and Requisition, will also be incorporated into the anti-cheat monitoring system. This move is intended to further preserve a fair and equitable gameplay environment for all participants.
