Hempel secures three-year global hull coatings agreement with Maersk

Hempel, a global supplier of coatings solutions, has secured a three-year global agreement with A.P. Møller-Mærsk, the world's largest container shipping company, for its fleet's hull coatings during dry dockings.
The agreement, which spans Maersk's dry docking program from 2026 to 2028, is built on over a decade of collaboration between the two companies. It ensures Hempel will supply a significant portion of the coatings for Maersk's vessels undergoing maintenance.
Hempel highlighted that its high-performance silicone coating technology supports improved fuel efficiency and vessel optimization under defined operating conditions. The company stated that the coatings provide long-term hull protection and defense against fouling.
This contract reinforces Hempel's position in the global marine coatings market and reflects Maersk's continued focus on operational efficiency and sustainability in its fleet management.
