Hengshui-Huanghua Port Railway Enters Combined Test Phase
Chinese IT Home reports that the Hengshui-Huanghua Port (Henggang) Railway has officially entered its combined test phase. The railway connects Hengshui city with Huanghua Port in Hebei Province.
Chinese technology outlet IT Home reported on August 29 that the Hengshui-Huanghua Port (Henggang) Railway has officially commenced its combined test phase. Construction on the 224-kilometer high-speed line, designed for speeds up to 250 kilometers per hour, began in July 2020. It links Hengshui city with Huanghua Port in Cangzhou, Hebei Province.
The line includes several stations, such as Hengshui North, Cangzhou West, and Huanghua Port. According to the National Railway Administration, the combined test phase is scheduled to last for 70 days. During this period, specialized trains and equipment will conduct comprehensive tests.
These tests will evaluate various systems, including traction power supply, overhead catenary, communications, signaling, passenger services, and disaster monitoring. Structural integrity of the track, switches, subgrade, and bridges will also be assessed to ensure the line meets design specifications.
The Henggang Railway is a component of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei intercity rail network. Upon its operational launch, the railway is expected to significantly reduce travel times between Huanghua Port, Cangzhou, and surrounding areas to Shijiazhuang.
