Henkel Doubles Size of Silicon Valley Application Center

Chemicals and consumer goods company Henkel has significantly expanded its Silicon Valley Application Center in Santa Clara, California, moving to a larger 15,000-square-foot facility. The center's size has been doubled to meet growing demand for co-development and faster product development in electronics materials.

The expanded center will support consumer electronics and industrial customers by offering assistance with proof-of-concept work, testing, and analytical services, among other applications. Henkel states the facility helps validate the performance of materials such as underfills, structural adhesives, encapsulants, and thermal control solutions, which are critical for the reliability of electronic systems.

Since Henkel first opened its Silicon Valley facility in 2022, it has supported projects related to data center artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and virtual and augmented reality devices. The company indicates the expansion is a response to the increasing need for local collaboration and expedited product development support.

Henkel has recently established or expanded technical application centers in several strategic locations globally, including India, China, Singapore, and Vietnam. The expansion of the Silicon Valley center enhances the company's ability to work directly with customers on advanced electronics applications, speeding up the development and validation of materials used in next-generation computing, AI, and consumer technologies.
