Pharmaceutical company Henlius and generics manufacturer Sandoz have announced a strategic collaboration to develop and commercialize biosimilars globally.

The agreement could cover up to ten proposed monoclonal antibody (mAb) and/or antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) biosimilar candidates. Most of these programs are in the early stages of development.

Based on initial arrangements, Henlius is projected to achieve a specific total invoiced amount by 2026. Further financial details have not been disclosed.

The collaboration intends to leverage Henlius's development platform and Sandoz's global commercial network to increase the accessibility of biosimilars for patients worldwide. Biosimilars are biological medicines highly similar to existing approved biologics, often providing more affordable treatment options.
