Herb Reed Enterprises, LLC (HRE) announced the conclusion of a federal court action that clarifies trademark rights for The Platters®. The resolution was reached with Good Time Distribution and establishes a clear authorization framework for certain legacy recordings associated with the iconic vocal group.

The legal proceedings, which took place in the U.S. District Court, aimed to resolve disputes over the use and ownership of the trademark. HRE, which manages the legacy of the group's founder Herb Reed, stated that the agreement provides defined parameters for the use of the trademark in relation to specific historical recordings.
