HERMOS AG Introduces Girls to Electrical Engineering Roles

HERMOS AG, based in Mistelgau, recently organized a 'GirlsDay' event that welcomed five young women. The initiative aimed to introduce them to the profession of an electrical technician and provide hands-on experience in the field.

Participants spent the day exploring the company's operations, which specialize in the manufacturing of electrical cabinets. The agenda included theoretical sessions explaining the structure and function of electrical cabinets, alongside practical activities. The girls also toured various departments, from sales and design to the production floor.

A key activity involved each participant building their own electronic cube under supervision. This practical exercise allowed them to engage their manual dexterity and gain insight into the skills required for technical roles. The company's training manager, Christian Seifert, oversaw this part of the day.

HERMOS AG highlighted that such events are crucial for fostering interest in technical careers and demonstrating the satisfaction of creating tangible products. The company also offers internships for interested students.
