HERMOS AG joins BIM Center Aachen

HERMOS AG became a member of the BIM Center Aachen at RWTH Aachen Campus in May 2021. This strategic partnership aims to advance the digital transformation within the construction industry by leveraging Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies and advanced technologies.

The BIM Center Aachen focuses on integrating digital solutions throughout the entire lifecycle of a construction project, from planning to operation and maintenance. The center promotes the adoption of emerging technologies like IoT and Artificial Intelligence to drive digitalization in the construction sector. Collaboration between academic and industrial stakeholders aims to bring BIM into practical application and develop related processes.

HERMOS intends to integrate its building automation and management system, FIS (Gebäudeleittechnik und Gebäudemanagement System), into BIM research and methodologies. This integration is designed to facilitate a seamless transition from the planning phase to the building's operational and maintenance phases, ensuring that model data is usable throughout the construction project's lifespan.

Through its membership in BIM Center Aachen, HERMOS AG reinforces its commitment to the digitalization of the construction industry and seeks to play an active role in the development and implementation of new construction methods.
