HeroZona Foundation to Distribute School Supplies for 14th Year in Phoenix
The HeroZona Foundation and its partners will host their 14th annual 'Tools 4 School' event on July 25 in Phoenix, providing backpacks and supplies to K-8 students.

The HeroZona Foundation is set to host its 14th annual 'Tools 4 School' event on Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 41, located at 715 S. 2nd Ave in Phoenix. The community initiative aims to provide free backpacks and essential school supplies to students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
This year's event builds on previous efforts, serving as Arizona's largest backpack and school supply giveaway. It is a collaborative effort involving organizations such as American Legion Post 65, APS, the Arizona Diamondbacks, ASU, Helios Education Foundation, and SRP. The program seeks to alleviate the financial burden on families preparing for the upcoming academic year.
"When students have the tools they need, they have the confidence to learn, grow and succeed," stated Alan "AP" Powell, founder of the HeroZona Foundation. "The Tools 4 School drive is about ensuring every child has an equal opportunity to begin the school year prepared."
The event is open to all kindergarten through eighth-grade students. Backpacks and supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Students must be present to receive their backpacks and supplies. Organizers anticipate a large turnout.
