Japanese independent developer lemorion_1224 announced on X that their multiplayer hide-and-seek game 'Super Chameleon' (MECCHA CHAMELEON) has surpassed 15 million copies sold worldwide. The game combines hide-and-seek mechanics with graffiti-based camouflage.

Launched on June 10, 2026, 'Super Chameleon' saw rapid sales, reaching 500,000 copies within two days and 1 million within four. Sales continued to climb, surpassing 10 million copies in 16 days. The game is currently available on Steam for 26 Chinese Yuan.

In 'Super Chameleon,' players embody white figures tasked with hiding from chasers by using paint to disguise themselves as objects within the game environment. Success depends on the player's ability to choose hiding spots, poses, and effectively blend in.

The game recently received update 2.5.0, which improved brush accuracy and added an experimental palette feature for upcoming controller support. A new collaboration map is also scheduled for release mid-next week, though the collaborating entity has not yet been disclosed.
