High school interns lead development of QED Secure Solutions cybersecurity directory
A group of high school interns has developed SecurityBakeoff, a searchable directory designed to help organizations identify and evaluate cybersecurity service providers.

Denver-based QED Secure Solutions has integrated high school interns into the core development of SecurityBakeoff, an online directory aimed at streamlining the process for organizations to find cybersecurity experts. The platform allows users to research providers specializing in incident response, compliance, and risk assessments.
The student team, consisting of Taylor Neitzel, Allyssa Rios, Kyler Rios, and Gabe Stocking, manages the platform, which enables users to sort cybersecurity firms by service type and user ratings. By providing a centralized search tool, the site intends to reduce the complexity of identifying suitable security partners for businesses.
Beyond the technical output, QED Secure Solutions utilizes the project as a professional development vehicle for the interns. The firm states that giving students leadership roles in live, public-facing projects provides them with industry experience while addressing a functional need within the cybersecurity community.
