Highland and Bath Counties, Virginia Go Live on Shared Caliber Hosted CAD
Highland County and Bath County, Virginia, went live on Caliber Hosted CAD on October 6, operating within a shared server environment. This arrangement allows for enhanced coordination across the two neighboring jurisdictions.

Highland County and Bath County in Virginia have transitioned to a shared Caliber Hosted CAD system, going live on October 6. This move enables both neighboring rural counties to operate dispatch functions on a common platform, facilitating coordination across their combined mountainous terrain exceeding 900 square miles.
The shared environment addresses a key challenge for rural public safety agencies: interoperability during incidents that cross county lines. With low population densities and extensive response distances, the two counties can now leverage a unified system, removing technical barriers that typically separate independent CAD systems.
Highland County, a new Caliber customer, is now utilizing Hosted CAD with integrated mapping and CJIS querying. Bath County employs the system with mapping, CJIS, and additional integrations, including PulsePoint and RapidSOS. The RapidSOS connection provides dispatchers with immediate caller location data, crucial in areas where precise location can be difficult to convey.
Bath County migrated from its previous on-premise Caliber CAD system to the hosted solution. Caliber managed the data conversion from the historical system to the new environment, ensuring continuity of essential records. Caliber's services are hosted within the Nlets network and comply with FBI CJIS standards.
