HIKMICRO releases new 1280-resolution thermal optics

HIKMICRO has unveiled its latest range of thermal imaging devices, the STELLAR 4.0 and THUNDER 4.0 series. The flagship models, the SX75LR 4.0 and TQ70CL 4.0, feature 1280-resolution sensors, expanding the company’s existing lineup which also includes 640-resolution variants.

The new hardware incorporates a redesigned optical system paired with focal lengths of 70mm or greater. This configuration is intended to maximize detail capture, allowing users to obtain a comprehensive view of a scene immediately upon looking through the device, rather than requiring additional zoom or manual calibration.

Design considerations emphasize integration with standard hunting equipment. The STELLAR SX75LR 4.0 maintains a traditional tube-style design, incorporating a laser rangefinder without altering the unit's ergonomic profile. The THUNDER TQ70CL 4.0 is engineered as a compact thermal attachment, facilitating easier pairing with existing daytime optical sights.

The products were formally introduced on November 3, 2026. The release aims to address the challenges of target identification in complex environments where clarity and rapid interpretation are critical.
