QINGDAO, China – Hisense emerged as the global leader in the delivery of televisions sized 100 inches and larger during the first half of 2026. Research firm Omdia reported that the company captured a 55.1% market share in this segment. The results indicate a growing consumer demand for larger and more immersive viewing experiences.
The company has focused on advancing its large-screen display technology. Hisense's UR9 series utilizes RGB MiniLED technology, allowing for independent control of red, green, and blue lights in the backlight. This innovation delivers richer colors, deeper contrast, and enhanced detail, aiming to provide a more cinematic and lifelike viewing experience for movies and sports.
Additionally, Hisense offers MiniLED performance in its U7 and U6 Pro series, employing Hi-QLED MiniLED technology. These televisions combine precise local dimming with Quantum Dot color, producing brighter highlights and deeper blacks.
Hisense's expertise extends to the Laser TV market, where the company held over 70% of the global market share in 2025. The company is set to showcase further innovations at the IFA 2026 trade show in Berlin.
