Hisense TVs Add Support for Dolby Vision 2, iQiyi First Chinese Platform
Hisense announced new television models supporting the next-generation Dolby Vision 2 HDR format. Streaming service iQiyi will be the first in China to adopt the standard.
Hisense has announced the integration of the next-generation Dolby Vision 2 HDR format into its latest television models. The company confirmed that its RGB-Mini LED UX 2026 and E8S Pro TVs now support the standard, with firmware updates planned for additional models in the E8S, U7S, and E7S series in the coming weeks.
Televisions equipped to support Dolby Vision 2 feature a new image processing engine and advanced content-aware picture settings. Hisense models such as the E5S, E5S Pro, and U6S Pro are slated to be among the first mainstream televisions to receive this support. Higher-tier models, including the UX 2026 and U7S Pro+, will offer Dolby Vision 2 Max, which includes an expanded feature set with true dynamic range capabilities and professional-level adjustments.
In terms of content availability, streaming platform iQiyi has declared it will be the first in China to support Dolby Vision 2. The service plans to leverage the format to enhance the viewing experience across its library of movies and TV dramas, utilizing its improved imaging capabilities.
Dolby Vision 2 is the latest iteration of Dolby's High Dynamic Range technology, designed to deliver enhanced picture quality with wider color gamuts, improved contrast, and greater brightness. This collaboration brings advanced visual fidelity to consumers in the Chinese market through Hisense devices and iQiyi's content.
