Historic New Jersey Amusement Park Goes to Auction
Clementon Park & Splash World, a 119-year-old amusement and water park in southern New Jersey, is scheduled for auction in October 2026. The park closed permanently after Labor Day.

Clementon Park & Splash World, a historic amusement and water park in Camden County, New Jersey, is set to be sold via online auction on October 19, 2026. The park, founded in 1907, ceased operations permanently after Labor Day this year.
The 52-acre property, which includes various rides and water attractions, will have a starting bid of $1.5 million. IB Parks & Entertainment, which acquired the park following a 2019 foreclosure and reopened it in 2021, announced the decision to close and sell the facility.
In a statement, the owners expressed sadness over the closure but hope to find a buyer who will honor the park's legacy. Clementon Park has been a long-standing entertainment venue for generations of families in the region.
The site is being marketed as suitable for continued operation as an entertainment venue or for redevelopment into housing or a hotel complex. Visitors to the park's website are now directed to Sahara Sam’s Oasis Water Park.
