Hitachi Scroll Compressor debuts independently in Europe at Chillventa 2026
Hitachi Scroll Compressor is exhibiting independently for the first time at Chillventa 2026 in Nuremberg, presenting new heat pump solutions and expanding its technology offerings for the European market.

Nuremberg, Germany – Hitachi Scroll Compressor is making its debut as an independent exhibitor at Chillventa 2026, held from October 13-15. At stand 1-637 in the NürnbergMesse exhibition center, the company is showcasing compressor solutions for heat pumps compatible with R-290 and R-454C refrigerants, as well as compressor technologies for a wide range of thermal management applications.
The independent presence signifies Hitachi Scroll Compressor's commitment to the European market and its goal to further strengthen collaborations with industrial partners across the region. Europe's ongoing energy transition, coupled with evolving refrigerant regulations and a growing demand for low-GWP solutions, is transforming the HVAC sector. Manufacturers are seeking compressor technologies that can adapt to changing refrigerant requirements while maintaining performance, reliability, and operational safety.
Among the highlights is Hitachi's CC inverter compressor designed for low ambient temperature heat pump applications using R-290. This natural refrigerant boasts a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 0.02, significantly lower than many conventional refrigerants. The company is also presenting its CC inverter compressor compatible with R-454C, offering an alternative for manufacturers transitioning to new refrigerants while balancing energy efficiency, system performance, and evolving market demands.
Beyond heat pumps, Hitachi is extending its scroll compressor technology to a broader array of cooling and thermal management applications. The range on display includes fixed-speed compressors for refrigeration, horizontal scroll compressors for thermal management in transportation, and DC inverter compressors for temperature control in energy storage systems. The company is also exploring new opportunities in emerging applications such as thermal management for data centers.
