Hitachi Scroll Compressor Exhibits Independently at Chillventa 2026
Hitachi scroll compressor is showcasing its latest technologies, including solutions for R-290 and R-454C refrigerants, at Chillventa 2026 in Germany, strengthening its European market presence.

Hitachi scroll compressor is making its first independent appearance at Chillventa 2026, the refrigeration and air conditioning trade fair held in Nuremberg, Germany, from October 13 to 15. At Booth 1-637, the company is presenting heat pump compressor solutions compatible with R-290 and R-454C refrigerants, alongside other compressor technologies for various thermal management applications. This debut highlights the company's commitment to the European market and its strategy to deepen collaboration with regional industry partners.
The HVAC industry in Europe is undergoing significant transformation due to the energy transition, increased adoption of heat pumps, evolving refrigerant regulations, and a growing demand for lower GWP (Global Warming Potential) solutions. Manufacturers are actively seeking compressor technologies that can support these changes while maintaining high levels of system performance, reliability, and safety. Hitachi scroll compressor is responding by developing a diverse range of compressor technologies designed for different refrigerants and system architectures.
A key focus at Chillventa 2026 is Hitachi's DC inverter compressor for low-ambient heat pump applications utilizing R-290. This natural refrigerant possesses a GWP of 0.02, significantly lower than many conventional alternatives. Additionally, the company is showcasing its DC inverter compressor compatible with R-454C, which has a GWP of 146. These offerings provide manufacturers with greater flexibility to adapt their heat pump and HVAC systems to meet evolving market and regulatory demands.
Beyond heat pumps, Hitachi scroll compressor is extending its technology portfolio to a wider array of cooling and thermal management applications. The displayed products include fixed-speed compressors for refrigeration, horizontal scroll compressors for transport thermal management, and DC inverter compressors for temperature control in energy storage systems. The company is also exploring opportunities in emerging areas such as data center thermal management.
"Europe's energy transition is creating new requirements across heating, cooling, and thermal management," stated Wisdom Hao, GM of Guangzhou Bosch Home Comfort Compressor Technology Co. Ltd. "We aim to support customers with efficient, reliable compressor technologies that address evolving system and refrigerant needs. Chillventa provides a valuable platform to engage directly with European partners, understand their specific challenges, and explore collaborative development for next-generation products."
