Hitachi Scroll Compressor Makes Independent Debut at Chillventa 2026
Hitachi Scroll Compressor is exhibiting independently at Chillventa 2026, showcasing heat pump solutions and new compression technologies. The company emphasizes its commitment to the European market.

Hitachi Scroll Compressor is making its independent debut at Chillventa 2026, taking place from October 13-15 in Nuremberg. The company is presenting compressor solutions for heat pumps compatible with R-290 and R-454C refrigerants, as well as compression technologies for various thermal management applications. This debut underscores Hitachi Scroll Compressor's commitment to the European market and its intent to further strengthen collaborations with industry partners across the region.
As Europe advances its energy transition, the increasing adoption of heat pumps, evolving refrigerant regulations, and demand for lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) solutions are transforming the HVAC sector. Manufacturers are seeking compressor technologies that can adapt to changing refrigerant requirements without compromising system performance, reliability, or operational safety. Hitachi continues to develop scroll compressor technologies for diverse refrigerants and system architectures.
Among the highlights at Chillventa is Hitachi's DC inverter compressor designed for heat pump applications operating at low ambient temperatures using R-290. R-290 is a natural refrigerant with a GWP of 0.02. Hitachi is also showcasing its DC inverter compressor compatible with R-454C refrigerant, which has a GWP of 146, offering an alternative for manufacturers managing refrigerant transitions.
Beyond heat pumps, Hitachi's scroll compressor technology is extending its reach to a growing range of refrigeration and thermal management applications. The portfolio includes fixed-speed compressors for refrigeration, horizontal scroll compressors for transport thermal management, and DC inverter compressors for temperature control in energy storage systems. Hitachi is also exploring emerging applications such as data center thermal management.
"Europe's energy transition is driving new demands in heating, cooling, and thermal management," said Wisdom Hao, General Manager of Guangzhou Bosch Home Comfort Compressor Technology Co. Ltd. "We aim to support our customers with efficient and reliable compressor technologies that address evolving system and refrigerant requirements. Chillventa provides an opportunity to engage directly with partners and better understand their needs."
