Hitman: Codename 47 Adds Free 'Advanced Action' DLC
IO Interactive has released a free "Advanced Action" DLC for Hitman: Codename 47. The update introduces new gameplay modes and higher difficulty settings.
Game developer IO Interactive has launched a new free downloadable content pack, "Advanced Action," for its popular title Hitman: Codename 47. The update adds several new features designed to challenge seasoned players.
The "Advanced Action" DLC introduces a "New Game+" mode, allowing players to restart the game from the beginning or from any unlocked checkpoint while retaining all previously acquired outfits and equipment. This mode also unlocks a more difficult "00" setting. In this higher difficulty, enemies react faster to discoveries, and combat becomes significantly more punishing, with a reduced margin for error and stricter timing requirements for dodging and blocking.
Additionally, the DLC enhances the TacSim mode with new content, including the ability to drive the Aston Martin Valhalla through mountainous terrain in Slovakia. This mission, "The Valhalla Protocol," involves using the car's weaponry to eliminate targets and achieve time bonuses. Players must strategically employ the vehicle's armaments for optimal performance.
Another TacSim mission sends players back to The Pearl, a luxury resort in Vietnam. The objective is to infiltrate a heavily guarded villa to retrieve classified documents. The playable area has been expanded to include the entire villa and its surroundings, including rooftops, and the interior has been redesigned to offer more stealth opportunities.
The "Advanced Action" pack also includes a full photo mode and improved weapon handling animations. Enemies have gained a new ability, allowing them to throw Agent 47 from heights, mirroring a capability previously exclusive to the player.
