HKScan changes name to HKFoods
Food group HKScan has decided to change its company name to HKFoods Plc as approved at its Annual General Meeting. The name change follows the divestment of its Swedish business.

HKScan Corporation announced today that its Annual General Meeting has decided to change the company's name to HKFoods Plc. The decision follows the sale of HKScan's Swedish business at the end of March 2024 and aligns with the company's strategic focus on becoming a versatile food group.
The new name, HKFoods, is intended to continue the company's traditions and reflects its association with a core consumer brand, its industry, and strategic direction. CEO Juha Ruohola stated that HKFoods, while strongly Finnish, operates internationally and is committed to its strategic journey as a diversified food company.
The name change will not affect the company's established consumer brands, including HK®, Kariniemen®, and Via® in Finland, and Rose® in Denmark. The new name, logo, website, and email addresses will be rolled out gradually from May 2024, after the name change is officially registered with the Trade Register. Other contact details will remain unchanged.
With a history spanning 110 years, HKFoods operates primarily in Finland and Denmark, employing approximately 3,600 professionals. The company focuses on locally produced food and is developing more climate-friendly production methods. In 2023, net sales from continuing operations were nearly EUR 1.2 billion.
