HKScan Completes Sale of Swedish Business to Lantmännen
HKScan has finalized the sale of its Swedish operations to Lantmännen ek för on March 27, 2024. The transaction, announced in December 2023, involved the divestment of HKScan Sweden AB, strengthening HKScan's balance sheet and allowing focus on remaining businesses.

HKScan Corporation announced on March 27, 2024, the closure of its transaction to sell its Swedish business to Lantmännen ek för. The deal, initially agreed upon on December 29, 2023, concerned the shares in HKScan Sweden AB, which constituted HKScan's Business Unit Sweden.
With the completion of this sale, HKScan ceases its ownership of the Swedish operations, where it has been active since 2007. The business operations and personnel of HKScan's Swedish subsidiaries have been transferred to Lantmännen as of the closing date. This divestment is expected to strengthen HKScan's balance sheet.
The company stated that the sale will enable HKScan to better focus on its remaining businesses and implement its long-term strategy. HKScan will continue to operate as a Finnish-based, internationally active listed company, aiming to grow into a versatile food company by leveraging its market position and brands.
The transaction followed previous announcements regarding regulatory approvals, including from the European Commission on March 7, 2024. HKScan plans to concentrate on its core markets and strategic objectives following this significant divestment.
