HMD Global Launches Salo 5G Phone for Business Market
HMD Global has released the HMD Salo 5G, a smartphone designed exclusively for the B2B sector. The device, sold only to enterprises, is a renamed version of the previously cancelled HMD Titan 5G project.
HMD Global has introduced the HMD Salo 5G, a smartphone specifically targeting the business-to-business (B2B) market. This device will be sold exclusively to enterprises and is essentially a rebranded iteration of the HMD Titan 5G project, which was cancelled in 2024. The HMD Salo 5G features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The front-facing camera has a 50-megapixel sensor. On the rear, the phone is equipped with a 64-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Under the hood, the Salo 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor. It is configured with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device houses a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging. It runs on Android 16 and is promised five years of security updates. This launch signifies HMD Global's strategic focus on the enterprise sector, offering a device tailored to business needs with modern specifications and extended software support.
