HMD is expected to introduce a new tablet model, the HMD T21 2nd, with sources indicating a focus on the Nepalese market. This new iteration is rumored to come equipped with a larger screen than the current model. The existing HMD T21 tablet, released in May 2024, is essentially a rebranded version of the Nokia T21 released in 2022.

While the HMD T21's exterior largely mirrors the Nokia T21, differing mainly in the rear logo, internal components have seen some adjustments. The T21 2nd model is anticipated to boast an upgraded display size, although specific technical details remain unconfirmed. The current HMD T21 features a 10.4-inch IPS LCD screen with a 1200 x 2000 resolution, powered by a Unisoc T612 chipset, and offering 4GB/6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage.

The tablet also includes 8MP cameras on both the front and rear, and an 8200 mAh battery supporting 18W wired charging. Regarding software support, the current model initially received two years of operating system updates and three years of security updates. As this support cycle nears its end, HMD is opting to launch a successor.

The decision to target the Nepalese market with an updated device suggests HMD's strategy of catering to specific regional demands. Further details regarding the HMD T21 2nd's specifications and market availability are expected to be disclosed soon.
