HMS Networks Expands KNX Secure Portfolio for HVAC Integration
HMS Networks' Intesis division has launched new KNX Secure compatible gateways, enhancing cybersecurity and standardizing HVAC system integration in modern buildings.

Stockholm, Sweden โ May 4, 2026 โ HMS Networks, a company focused on industrial communication and building automation, has expanded its KNX Secure product portfolio. Through its Intesis division, the company is addressing increased cybersecurity requirements in buildings and standardizing the integration of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems.
As building automation systems become more interconnected with IT infrastructures, cybersecurity has become a critical necessity. Evolving regulations in Europe, such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), are accelerating the adoption of encrypted communication for connected devices. The KNX standard has responded with KNX Data Secure, which provides encrypted and authenticated communication at the protocol level.
The Intesis KNX Secure portfolio now includes solutions for the secure integration of HVAC systems into KNX Secure networks. These products enable encrypted, bidirectional communication between HVAC equipment and KNX Secure installations. All solutions are configured via the ETS tool, ensuring standard-compliant deployment in professional KNX projects.
The portfolio features brand-specific gateways for Mitsubishi Electric's air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pump systems, as well as a universal IR-to-KNX Secure gateway for IR-controlled air conditioning units. HMS Networks is continuing to expand its range of HVAC interfaces aligned with KNX Data Secure certification requirements, ensuring full HVAC control and data collection remains compliant with industry standards.
