HMS Networks' N-Tron industrial Ethernet switches have been awarded gold in the Control Engineering 2026 Product of the Year awards. The NT100 series, including models NT112-FX2, NT113-FX3, and NT112-FX4, received recognition in the I/O, Networking & Edge Connectivity category for their performance and reliability in harsh industrial environments.
The N-Tron NT100 series comprises unmanaged Ethernet switches designed for industrial applications requiring dependable performance in mission-critical situations. These switches offer robust data acquisition, Ethernet I/O, and process control capabilities. Key features include high shock and vibration tolerance, ESD and surge protection on copper ports, and fiber port options with SC or ST connectors.
Control Engineering's annual Product of the Year awards recognize automation products based on technological advancement, service to the industry, and market impact. The NT100 series switches are built with rugged metal enclosures and boast a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) rating of 1.2 million hours. They are designed to operate reliably in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C.
These unmanaged switches support full wire speed communication and utilize store-and-forward technology. With certifications including UL, ATEX, and IECEx, the NT100 series is suitable for demanding sectors such as oil and gas, utilities, and transportation. HMS Networks stated the series facilitates easier gathering of critical performance data for industrial control networks.
