Hohem is launching the Eyepic stabilized camera, aiming to distinguish itself from competitors like DJI and Insta360. The device combines stabilization with a detachable action camera.
The core features of the Eyepic camera are similar to devices like the Osmo Pocket 4 and Insta360 Luna Ultra, including a rotating preview screen and a small camera module stabilized by a three-axis gimbal. A key innovation is the ability to detach the magnetic camera module, allowing it to function as a standalone miniature camera that can be mounted or worn.
The camera records 4K video at up to 60 frames per second, supporting both vertical and horizontal orientations. The shooting orientation can be changed by simply rotating the camera module.
This detachable design offers greater versatility compared to traditional stabilized cameras, enabling users to capture footage from various perspectives without needing to carry the entire stabilization rig.
