Hollywood Producer Roy Lee Involved in New "Silent Hill" Film Project

Hollywood producer Roy Lee has become involved in the development of a new "Silent Hill" film, The Wall Street Journal reported on September 20. Lee, whose producing credits include "Godzilla vs. Kong" and "It," has a history of successfully adapting intellectual properties for the screen.

Lee's production company has multiple game adaptation projects in the pipeline, including the upcoming "God of War" television series and "Horizon Zero Dawn" television series. His past work also includes successful films such as "The Lego Movie" franchise and the two "It" films.

Numerous game-based films and television series are currently in development or production under Lee. These include the "God of War" series, the "Dragon's Lair" film, and the "Horizon Zero Dawn" series.

The most recent "Silent Hill" film, "Return to Silent Hill," was released in January 2026. Roy Lee was not involved in its production. The film garnered poor reviews, with an 18% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes.
