Forestry company Holmen is establishing a strategic partnership with Ecotype, a digital startup in the forestry sector. The collaboration aims to improve services and data accessibility for forest owners via the cloud-based Skogshubben (Forest Hub) portal.
Through this partnership, Holmen's customers will gain access to Skogshubben, a web-based service offering forest owners an overview and detailed information about their forest properties. The platform aggregates and analyzes forestry data from multiple open sources and satellites, presenting insights through a user-friendly interface.
This data-driven approach is intended to provide forest owners with a stronger basis for decision-making regarding forest management and actions. Holmen states that the collaboration will enhance customer experience and the competitiveness of its services.
The service is scheduled for a phased rollout throughout the year, with customer access anticipated within 2024.
