Holmen reports lower profit for 2025 but proposes increased dividend
Forest industry company Holmen's operating profit decreased in 2025 compared to the previous year. However, the company's board proposes an increase in dividend.

Forest industry group Holmen reported an operating profit of SEK 3,270 million for 2025, a decrease from SEK 3,721 million in 2024. The decline was attributed to a weaker performance in the Wood Products segment and lower electricity prices in northern Sweden.
The operating margin for the full year stood at 15 percent, down from 16 percent in 2024. The fourth quarter result was impacted by an inventory write-down of SEK 160 million.
Holmen's forest assets were valued at SEK 56,711 million at the end of 2025, a 2 percent decrease from the beginning of the year. The company repurchased its own shares for SEK 1,649 million during the year.
Despite the profit decline, the Board of Directors has proposed an increase in the ordinary dividend to SEK 9.5 per share, up from SEK 9.0 per share in the previous year. Profit after tax for 2025 amounted to SEK 2,879 million.
