Holy Name Cemetery to Host Final Open House Weekend of 2026 in Jersey City
Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City will hold its final open house of 2026 on November 7 and 8, offering interest-free financing options for burial arrangements.
Holy Name Cemetery & Mausoleum, located at 823 West Side Avenue in Jersey City, will hold its final open house weekend of 2026 on November 7 and 8. The event invites families to tour the facilities and discuss burial arrangements, with operating hours set from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days.
A key component of the event is the availability of 0% interest financing over a 48-month term. According to administrators, this will be the final opportunity for clients to secure this specific financing offer through the end of 2027.
Joseph Heckel, Executive Director of Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark, emphasized the logistical benefits of pre-planning funeral arrangements, noting that it removes administrative burdens from families during periods of bereavement. Memorial Planning Advisors will be available throughout the weekend to provide information on traditional burials, mausoleum crypts, and cremation niches without requiring appointments.
Holy Name remains the only Catholic cemetery in Hudson County currently offering space. The facility features landscaped grounds and a climate-controlled mausoleum, with staff providing guidance for families looking to secure permanent resting places.
