Home Diversification Calls for National Mortgage Platform Following Commentary
Home Diversified Solutions Corp. outlines a new mortgage concept aimed at reducing homeowner risk, but faces challenges in establishing a national distribution platform. A recent article highlights these hurdles.

Home Diversified Solutions Corp. has highlighted a new mortgage concept designed to reduce homeowners' exposure to individual property price fluctuations. The company suggests that the primary obstacle to commercializing this idea is the need for a national mortgage platform capable of bringing it to market at scale.
The article, "Mortgage Innovation Has a Distribution Problem," published in Chrisman Commentary, argues that even a novel mortgage structure with favorable economics may fail without adequate infrastructure. This infrastructure includes underwriting, compliance, servicing, technology, origination, and national distribution capabilities.
The Home Diversification concept allows homeowners to exchange the price performance of a single property for the performance of a diversified pool of homes. This approach aims to reduce risk associated with a specific residence and local housing market while retaining ownership.
Home Diversified Solutions Corp. is actively seeking partnerships with lenders and secondary market participants to develop and distribute the Home Diversified Mortgage nationally. CEO Marc Biron stated that the missing element is not a theoretical model, but a national institution possessing the necessary mortgage infrastructure, capital markets expertise, and consumer distribution channels.
Regulatory questions remain, as the company has not yet received a formal legal opinion on the classification of the Home Diversification agreement or its eligibility for purchase by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Independent actuarial validation will also be required before institutional commercialization.
