Honkarakenne Expands Agreements and Product Development

Honkarakenne Oyj, a renowned manufacturer of log buildings, has recently engaged in significant international expansion and product development efforts.

The company has entered into strategic partnership agreements with several international entities. These include a memorandum of understanding with the Kyiv Regional Military Administration and Borodyanka Village Council for the reconstruction of Ukraine, and an agreement with SAPRO GROUP LLC in Uzbekistan. Furthermore, Honkarakenne has signed two memorandums of understanding in Kazakhstan to advance sustainable tourism and ecological solutions.

These agreements and ongoing negotiations highlight the company's strategy to strengthen its global market position and offer its timber construction expertise to growing regions. The cooperation related to Ukraine's reconstruction specifically underscores the company's commitment to providing sustainable and ecological solutions in crisis-affected areas.

In parallel with its international outreach, Honkarakenne has also focused on product innovation. A key development is the launch of a new generation of CLT logs, named Honka Fusion+. Additionally, the company has collaborated with MEYER Floating Solutions to develop floating CLT log modules. Plans are also underway for the construction of Finland's largest CLT log hotel in Tornio.
