Honor has updated its Honor Car Connect feature with new "Smart Car Control" capabilities. This allows users to view vehicle status and control functions remotely via smartphone.
Honor has updated its "Honor Car Connect" functionality by introducing "Smart Car Control" capabilities.
The new features build upon existing "Smart Car Connect" services, enabling users to monitor their vehicle's status and operate certain functions remotely using their smartphone. These controls include checking the vehicle's condition and executing commands with a single tap. Additionally, users can utilize the YOYO voice assistant for voice-activated car control.
Currently, the "Smart Car Control" feature is limited to specific BYD vehicle models. This limited rollout follows a strategic partnership announced between BYD and Honor in early October. The collaboration aims to integrate AI voice capabilities between the car's system and mobile devices, bringing smartphone AI services into the vehicle cabin.
Through this integration, BYD vehicles will support remote control via YOYO, including voice commands for locating the car or preparing it for use. The partnership also enables phone screen mirroring onto the car's display, allowing access to mobile applications while driving. The YOYO assistant provides a comprehensive suite of functions controllable by voice commands.
