Honor and Other Android Manufacturers Launch 'Tap to Share' Feature
Honor has announced the official implementation of its led 'Tap to Share' technical standard, enabling cross-brand content sharing among mainstream Android devices.

Honor announced today the official rollout of its spearheaded 'Tap to Share' technical standard. This initiative, developed in collaboration with major Android manufacturers, aims to facilitate easy content sharing across different brands.
The MagicOS 11 operating system from Honor will fully support this cross-brand sharing functionality. The upcoming Honor Magic 9 smartphone series will be the first to feature this capability out-of-the-box.
This development aligns with efforts by the Golden Badge Alliance, which aims to unify Android's file-sharing protocols. The 'Tap to Share' feature allows users to transfer content, initiate payments, or share coupons simply by tapping devices together.
Key Android players, including Honor, OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi, have agreed to adopt this unified standard. The goal is to provide a seamless and efficient sharing experience for all Android users, reducing the complexity of cross-device interactions.
