Chinese technology company Honor has revealed a new professional video expansion kit from SmallRig, tailored for its forthcoming Magic9 Pro Max smartphone. The kit is officially set to launch on September 28, aiming to significantly enhance the device's video recording capabilities.
The Honor Magic9 Pro Max is designed to support ARRI Cinema mode, which incorporates an ARRI LogC3 video pipeline and cinema-grade audio recording. The phone also features professional shooting functions such as peaking focus and false color monitoring, assisting users in achieving better results even in complex shooting scenarios.
The launch of the accessory kit aligns with the phone's own debut. The Magic9 Pro Max is expected to be equipped with a dual 200-megapixel camera system, featuring a 200MP main sensor with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with a 1/1.4-inch sensor. With this new kit and potential teleconverter accessories, Honor aims to position the smartphone as a more potent tool for mobile videography.
Honor has focused on advancing mobile video capabilities through collaborations with industry partners.
