Honor, the Chinese technology firm, has confirmed that its upcoming WIN 2 series smartphone, specifically the 512GB "Great Cup" model, will be eligible for a state subsidy. This announcement was made by an executive from Honor's China e-commerce department.

The news was reported by several online publications citing @HonorPengGe, the head of Honor's China e-commerce department. The executive commented on social media, stating, "Without state subsidies, a pomegranate isn't tasty, no matter how precious it is," an analogy directly referencing price reductions enabled by the subsidy program.

The Honor WIN 2 series was previously introduced, featuring technologies such as the "Honor Wind Gemini" dual-fan cooling system, which promises rapid and efficient temperature reduction. The phones are expected to continue the product lineage of previous WIN models, including WIN, WIN RT, and WIN Turbo.

Further details suggest the "Great Cup" model eligible for the state subsidy likely refers to either the WIN or WIN RT version. The series has already opened for pre-orders and will be available in three color options: "Quick Open Black," "Designated Win," and "Red Blue Buff." Memory configurations include 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.
