Honor Magic9 Series Will Not Get RSR Porsche Design Version
Honor has confirmed that its new Magic9 smartphone series will not be released as an RSR Porsche Design model. Previous flagship models have featured special editions.
Chinese technology firm Honor has confirmed that its recently launched Magic9 smartphone series will not feature an RSR Porsche Design version. The confirmation came from Lin Lin, head of Honor's Smart Life Business Department in China, via social media.
The Honor Magic9 series, which includes the Magic9 Pro Max, Magic9, and Magic9 Super Energy Edition models, was released in late September 2026, starting at 4499 yuan. The company has a history of collaborating with Porsche Design to create premium variants of its flagship phones.
Its first such collaboration, the Honor Magic RSR Porsche Design, launched in January 2024. This model merged Honor's technology with the design language of Porsche cars, utilizing materials like nano-crystalline ceramic, and reportedly achieved record sales, surpassing previous Porsche Design editions.
Past models, including the Magic6, Magic7, and Magic8, have all received RSR Porsche Design variants. The decision to omit this special edition for the Magic9 marks a notable shift in Honor's premium product strategy.
